Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter was found unconscious in a bathtub in her home today and taken to a hospital. TMZ  reports Bobbi Kristina Brown's husband Nick Gordon and a friend found her in the tub ... according to police in Roswell, GA. We're told her husband and friend immediately started CPR on her ... until police and paramedics arrived. We're told police took over life-saving measures on the scene -- and then she was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

A teenage boy was left riving in pain after his clumsy friend accidentally shot him in the penis. The 15-year-old boy from Collier County in Florida was left terrified and in tears during a 911 call in which he begs emergency services to come and help him. The 911 dispatcher said: 'What kind of gun did you shoot yourself with? Where were you shot at?' The boy replied: 'I don't know. Just please come get me, please. I'm bleeding out, please. I think I am shot in the arm...and I think my penis.'

According to a report by  Sahara Reporters , the Nigerian military authorities are moving female soldiers based in various army formations in Maiduguri and other parts of Borno State to Abuja as the army anticipates a massive attack on Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, by Boko Haram. The sources said there was heightened apprehension about an impending attack, hence the decision to reassign female soldiers to Nigeria’s capital. The military action also stemmed from the death of five female soldiers and the abduction of another four by Boko Haram militants when they attacked a military base in Baga a few weeks ago. Following recent intelligence indicating that Boko Haram militants were strategizing on a fierce offensive to capture Maiduguri before the February 14 elections, the army moved more than 70 female soldiers last week.

The Nigerian army has a new director of Public relations. He is Col SK Usman. He takes over from Gen Olajide OLaleye who is on transfer to the 4th Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Benin, Edo state where he will serve as the Commander. Until his appointment, Col. Usman was the Spokesman of the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri in Borno state.. 

More than 10 senior Nigerian Army officers, including a Brigadier-General have been arrested and are telling the military hierarchy what they know about the Baga attack by the insurgent group, Boko Haram. According to the Director of Defence Information, Major-General Chris Olukolade, the senior army officers are being investigated for allegedly shirking their responsibilities during the attack by the militants. Those arrested are Brigadier-General Enitan Ransome-Kuti, his Chief of Staff Lt. Colonel G.A Suru. Others are the Commanding Officer of 134 and 174 battalions, Lt. Colonel Haruna and a certain Major aliyu.

He released a statement through his S pecial Adviser (Media Strategy) Ohimai Amaize Immediate past Minister of State for Defence and former PDP Lagos gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro  on Friday  chided the All Progressives Congress (APC) over denials that its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari was stoned in Lagos while making his way to the APC Lagos presidential rally. Kurdish fighters killed more than 20 ISIS militants during continued fighting in the villages around Kobane which was liberated earlier this week after months of bitter street fighting.  In one village, a Kurd was today pictured standing over the bodies of Islamic extremists after they were killed in Halimce, a village east of the town... Kurdish forces recaptured the town on January 26 in a symbolic blow to the jihadists who have seized large swathes of territory in their onslaught across Syria and Iraq. But the town is now characterised by demolished buildings, with heavily armed fighters roaming otherwise deserted, rubble-strewn streets. Although their town has been liberated, thousands of residents are now settling into Turkey's newest refugee camp for an indefinite stay and have been warned not to return until the area has been fully secured. Press release from APC regarding the alleged stoning of Buhari at his Lagos rally today... The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied the concocted story by former Minister of State for Defence Musiliu Obanikoro that the party's presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, was pelted with stone during the party's rally in Lagos, saying a lie has never worn a bolder face. In a statement issued in Lagos  on Friday  by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Gen. Buhari and other top leaders of the APC rode in a open bus from the Palace of the Oba of Lagos to the Teslim Balogun Stadium venue of the rally, to great cheers from Lagosians who lined the route.

Now Jordan has threatened to kill all ISIS prisoners in their country if Mu'ath is killed by ISIS. From  Mail Online Jordan has threatened to fast-track the execution of a would-be suicide bomber ISIS is trying to free if the terror group kills its captured pilot, it was reported today. The government has apparently warned that Sajida al-Rishawi and other jailed ISIS commanders would be 'quickly judged and sentenced' in revenge for Muath al-Kaseasbeh's death.

Notorious former music exec Suge Knight has been arrested after fatally running down a friend on the set of the movie, 'Straight Outta Compton' after getting into a fight with security. He reportedly then backed up over the men he hit as he fled the scene. Full report from  TMZ  below.. Multiple witnesses tell us a movie shoot -- involving Ice Cube and Dr. Dre -- was going down when Suge pulled up in his car. We're told security told Suge to leave and that's when trouble began. A fight broke out between Suge and 2 men. Suge got back into his car, took the wheel and threw the vehicle in reverse ... and ran over a man who suffered fatal injuries. It's unclear at this point if the victim was connected to the movie. A source close to Cube tells us production had wrapped when the fight went down ... and he and Dre were not on set.

Lassana Bathily, the 24 year old Malian-born employee who saved the lives of several shoppers at Kosher supermarket during the Paris attack that left 4 dead on Jan. 9th was given a heroic welcome in Mali yesterday, 9 years after he left his birth country for France. Lassana was welcomed by Malian government officials led by the Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cheickkna Kamissoko. He and his father later had lunch with the Malian French Ambassador at the french embassy in Mali.

Suge Knight  has reportedly killed a man after engaging in a fight on set of a film project in Compton,  TMZ reports . According to the site, the co-founder of Death Row Records got into an altercation with two crew members on set of the project — which involved the  Game ,  Ice Cube , and  Dr. Dre  — and then fled to his car, where he took off and ran over a bystander. The bystander, who TMZ believes to be a friend of Knight’s named  Terry Carter , was reportedly unable to be resuscitated by paramedics. According to TMZ, sources says that the two crew members were the instigators and that Knight was “scared because he’s in frail health” following multiple recent gunshot wounds and almost dying from a blood clot.

APC says it's presidential candidate Gen Buhari will not be participating in the presidential debate being organized by the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria BON and the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG) . In a statement released today January 29th by Garna Shehu, the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO), they said Buhari will not be participating in the debate as the composition of those organizing the debate was mainly of agencies and allies of the incumbent People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) administration. The DG of the National Orientation Agency & Coordinator of the National Information Center, Mike Omeri says intelligence reports gathered by Nigeria's security agencies show that Boko Haram members are planning to use bomb-ladened cows, goats and chicken to attack Nigerians at political campaign grounds, market places, and ATM locations. Omeiri said this while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday January 27th in Abuja "Available intelligence reports indicate a plan by Boko Haram to use young male suicide bombers disguised as cobblers (shoemakers) to hide explosives in their tool boxes and detonate them in soft target areas such as markets, restaurants, ATM locations, political rallies, worship centres, as well as other public places.

It is a curious contradiction that several days later, the Governor himself would express sentiments clearly in contradiction to the spirit and letter of that voluntary and unsolicited commendation from the state.

According to  TMZ , Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit asking a judge to end his contract with Cash Money. According to the lawsuit, Wayne says Birdman and company violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars Cash Money owes him for his long-delayed album, "Tha Carter V."  From TMZ Wayne claims because Cash Money is refusing to pay, he's entitled to walk. But Lil Wayne wants more than just a declaration of freedom. He's suing for $51 MILLION.  And Wayne wants the judge to declare he's the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings ... which includes  Drake ,  Nicki Minaj  and several others.

The well-articulated response from Dr. Fayemi compared to the abuse infused response from Femi Fani-Kayode on the PDP side is a great example of the contrast of the status-quo compared to the alternative.  Whatever the case and I don’t expect miracles form APC but right now they have more thinking people than the PDP.

Lagos state Governor,Fashola has accused the state's PDP gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje of tax evasion. While speaking at the 8th Annual Stakeholder Taxation Conference in Ikeja yesterday, Jan. 28th, Fashola said Agbaje’s pharmaceutical company, JayKay pharmacy has not paid the state govt four years Land Use Charge, LUC, tax. “LUC is ground rent and tenement rate as they were consolidated. I know that you have to vote next month but look at that candidate that would need to take over from me and be careful of who to vote for. You will remember that in 2007, he (Agbaje) claimed that he was in DPA and later crossed to PDP. You know that he manages a pharmacy called Jaykay Pharmacy, located at 9, Randle Close, Apapa. His pharmacy has not paid land Use Charge for 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

A couple and three of their children were found dead at home after taking a cocktail of drugs in a tragic 'murder-suicide' - to escape "the evil in the world". Benjamin and Kristi Strack and three of their children, Benson, 14, Emery, 12, and Zion, 11, were found dead in Springville, Utah on September 27 2014. On Tuesday police said they often discussed religiously-held notions of the apocalypse &orchestrated a multi-drug suicide using methadone and other medication.

Former Minister of Defence Gen T.Y Danjuma has called on Pres. Jonathan to order the immediate arrest of Asari Dokubo, Government Tompolo and other Niger Delta ex-militants who declared that they would destabilise the country if the president does not win next month's presidential election. Danjuma said this in an interview at the North West University, Kano shortly after commissioning the Kwankwasiyya City built by the Kano state government today January 28th. He said the militants must be punished for making such unguarded utterances which could throw the nation into chaos. Presidential candidate of the APC, Gen Buhari says those who are aggrieved about his certificate and the issues surrounding it should go to court and remain there. He said this while speaking with some journalists after members of the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM came to show their solidarity in the forthcoming election. He said that INEC said it has received his document and that anyone who has a contrary view to this is free to head to the court

A student of the Ekiti state University suffered severe cut on his head during a clash between the APC and the PDP in the state on Saturday January 24th. While the APC allege that the clash broke out after the National Vice-President, External, National Association of Nigerian Students, Tosin Ogunkuade was arrested by the state police for speaking during its presidential campaign, the state Governor in his defence said the people arrested were thugs of the APC who wanted to cause trouble in the state. A fifth of the population of the U.S has been caught in an unprecedented blizzard lockdown today, with residents of five states effectively banned from going outside as states of emergency were declared, Dailymail reports. A storm threatening to dump three feet of snow from New Jersey to Massachusetts prompted drastic measures to be taken, with metro systems in New York City and Boston shut and roads closed, leaving cities looking like ghost towns this morning. 8,000 flights to the North East were axed, while subway systems and railroads went dark late yesterday evening. Drivers who risk driving will be arrested and fines up to $500 will be paid. Even 24-hour businesses were forced to close their doors, while concerts, theater shows and sporting events were cancelled last night to  ensure everyone will stay at  home . Peak snowfall could bring more than four inches per hour, with highs of 36inches in some places.

Former Nigerian International goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has reportedly lost his battle with cancer. The ex-Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper who had been receiving treatment at a Spanish hospital was said to have died yesterday January 26th. Agbonavbare, who was a member of Nigeria’s U-21 Mexico 1983 Flying Eagles, lost his wife three years ago to breast cancer. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

VP candidate of the APC, Prof Yemi Osinbajo says if elected into government, Buhari would lead the Nigerian military in the fight against members of Boko Haram. Speaking at a town hall meeting organized by the Act Now Professionals in Abuja yesterday Jan 26th, Prof Osinbajo said the fight against Boko Haram can not be won by leading from the rear... "The first priority is security and to question what has gone wrong in the military. Then, funding the military adequately and ensuring that the Commander-In-Chief leads from the front. But when he was Commander-In-Chief, Buhari led from the front as a soldier. You cannot lead from the rear. You cannot fail to go to where the insurgency is taking place and that is what Buhari has been saying.
