An Ikeja High court this morning denied suspected fraudster Fred Ajudua's bail application and has ordered that he be remanded in Kirirkiri prison. Ajudua had applied for bail to seek medical attention outside the prison.   Delivering her judgement, Justice Khudirat Jose said according to medical reports presented by LUTH & attached to his bail application, he'd been treated for enlarged prostrate gland, hypertension and traumatic Haematuria sometime in August 2013 and there was no where in the report that stated he could not be treated in prison for any ailment. She also added that Ajudua had failed to convince her that he would neither abscond during the trial period nor interfere with witnesses if he is granted bail.   Fred Ajudua is standing trial for defrauding two dutch businessmen of $1.69million and former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, of  about $8.395m. The case was adjourned to April 28th.

Yep, there's a new Michael Jackson album...five years after his death. Sony and Epic Records today announced a plan to release a posthumous Michael Jackson album titled Xscape Epic CEO L.A. Reid handpicked eight previously unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson, which have been 'contemporized for modern ears' and added new production by Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins. The album drops May 13th.

On Dec. 13th 2013, Beyonce dropped her fifth studio album  Beyoncé  at midnight with absolutely no prior promo or warning. The album sold 828,773 copies worldwide in 3 days becoming the fastest selling album in iTunes history. On February 26th 2014, Kid Cudi decided to pull a Beyonce by dropping his 4th album  'Satellite Flight: The Journey to The Mother Moon'  on iTunes with no prior promo and no mainstream support. Well, the numbers are in...and some artists really need promo before releasing an album. According to Billboard magazine , Kid Cudi's album has moved only 87,000 copies  first week , making it Kudi's smallest debut sales week in his solo career.

Marilyn Ogar, the spokesperson for the Department of State Security Services (SSS) said yesterday that 21 detained terrorists died during the attempted jailbreak at the Service's headquarters in Abuja on Sunday morning. "Following our earlier releases, it has been established that eighteen (18) casualties were recorded, while two (2) Service personnel sustained serious injuries. Three (3) other detainees who sustained gunshot injuries during the incident have also died. "Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing to ascertain the immediate and remote causes. "We wish to state that the roads leading to the office were cordoned-off to prevent possible assistance from external collaborators. During this period, the precinct of the office and adjoining neighborhoods were thoroughly searched. 46 year old Nigerian lesbian asylum seeker in the UK, Adejumoke Apata (pictured above), says she risks a death sentence if she is deported to Nigeria. Ms Apata says she fled Nigeria in 2004 and claims that her girlfriend who refused to go with her, was brutally murdered by vigilantes in 2012. Before she left Nigeria, Adejumoke said she was subjected to homophobic torture, persecution and a brutal arrest after she was exposed as a gay woman. The Spokesperson for the Department of State  Security Service , Marilyn Ogar, has issued a statement on the attempted jailbreak at the headquarters of the Nigeria’s secret police. Find it below.. At 0715 hours, the Service  suspect   handler  went to the  detention facility  within the Headquarters to feed the suspects. One of the suspects attempted to disarm him by hitting him at the back of his head with his handcuff. His attempt to escape drew the attention of other guards at the facility who fired some shots to warn and deter others. The  gun shots  attracted the attention of the military with whom we have an understanding of mutual assistance in the event of any threat. The Army immediately deployed a team to reinforce our perimeter guards to forestall any external collaborators. The situation has since been brought under  control .       A policeman attached to the Ogun State Police Command, Corporal Sunkanmi Ogunbiyi, went on the rampage on Thursday in Abeokuta, killing six people, including his wife and a two-year-old child. Ogunbiyi, who worked at the State  Criminal Investigation  Department, was said to be having matrimonial problems with his wife Oluwatosin Faremi, who was also a police corporal attached to Obantoko Police Division, Abeokuta. Residents of the area said the policeman had been accusing his wife of infidelity. It was learnt that Oluwatosin had packed out of her  matrimonial home along with the couple’s two children to the apartment of their landlady after another round of such accusation.

A fake prophet, one Chuks Samson Obama has been nabbed in Lagos for impersonating Dr. Chris Okafor, the General Overseer of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry. The man who is said to be a notorious fraudster confessed to the police after he was nabbed that he only lied with the prophet’s name so he could get some money to feed his family. He also confessed that he has been duping people all in the name of God, and if the country was in a better state he would not have chosen to be a fraudster. Among the things found on him were two bottles of anointing oil, a bottle of crude oil, various I.D  cards , pictures of his clients with letters behind them and his phone which had pictures of him in a beer parlour drinking. He also confessed he is an addicted drunkard.

Weeks after he was  arrested  for the alleged ritual murder of a virgin girl, Pastor Sign Fireman, the founder of Perfect Christianity Mission, has been cleared of all  murder charges . The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) absolved the popular pastor of complicity in the murder of a 12 year old virgin after the conclusion of  police investigations  into the incident. "After a careful consideration of the facts contained in the  duplicate file , this office is of the opinion that a  prima facie  case of murder is established against the primary suspect (Egbo) only. In view of the foregoing, this office shall prosecute Egbo at the state high court for the offence of murder. “On the other hand, the second suspect (Fireman) is to be released forthwith if he is still in custody as no case is established against him,” the DPP stated. A 25 year  old house  help identified simply as David has been arrested for attacking and beheading a 65 year old retired Chief magistrate,  Vanguard  reports. Olufunmilayo Timeyin was  slaughtered at her residence in Laderin  estate in Obafemi-Owode LGA of Ogun State. David allegedly scaled the fence of the late Timeyin’s  bungalow, deactivated the  security system inside the building and laid siege within the premises before hacking the  retired magistrates to death. David, an Igede, Benue state-born was reportedly  employed  two months ago and sent packing two weeks ago for allegedly stealing his boss valuables including phones and jewelries which led to his arrest and subsequently release on the boss order.

25 year old Jessica Dutro (pictured above) has been arrested and charged with murder by abuse and second degree  assault after allegedly subjecting her 4 year old son, Zachary Dutro-Boggess, to deadly beatings because she thought he was gay. Prosecutors say Zachary died on August 16th, 2012 of blunt-force trauma to his abdomen and a delay in medical treatment. According to the Associated Press, few weeks before the boy was found with abdominal injuries at a temporary homeless shelter, his mum sent a Facebook message to her boyfriend, 24 year old Brian Canady, telling him that she believed Zachary was going to be gay, and suggested he "work on" her son:  “He walks and talks like it. Ugh.”  Jessica wrote. Canady (pictured above) was also arrested in connection with the boy's death. He pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, and second-degree assault, after admitting to kicking Zachary in the abdomen while wearing shoes. They are both on trial in Washington County

According to a report Intouch Weekly, Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband Lamar Odom 'got dirty' on the phone with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children, Liza Morales. In Touch reports that 'Lamar called Liza acting like  he wanted to hook up again' and 'Liza laughed at him. But if he’s trying to get things better with Khloe, she’d better watch out, because Lamar is still creeping.’ a source told the mag. Lamar and Liza were together for 10 years, and have Destiny, 16, and Lamar Jr, 12 together

On January 3rd, Chidi Lloyd, the Rivers State lawmaker who was  arrested  for hitting his colleague with a mace during the mayhem at Rivers State Assembly in July 2013, was  arrested  for the alleged murder of two people, one Kingsley Ejeuo and police sergeant Urang Obadiah. The lawmaker was accused of knocking down and killing the police sergeant while pursuing Kingsley Ejeuo who he also allegedly killed with his car. He was discharged and acquitted over a charge of  attempted murder  by a High Court in Port Harcourt today. The presiding judge said there was nothing the court could do in the matter as the police was not willing to prosecute the case. And that ends it!

In a bid to stop the State House of Assembly from summoning the helmsman at the Nassarawa State Independent Electoral Commission for questioning, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Mr. Innocent Lagi, scaled the fence of the Assembly complex after been  denied access  into the complex by security men stationed at the complex.  Mr Lagi had wanted to pass to the house leadership a court injunction restraining them from summoning the states electoral chairman for questioning on electoral matters in the state. Before he got to the House premises, the electoral chairman and his commissioners had already answered to the summon by the House. After jumping the fence, the commissioner was detained for about 40 minutes at the Assembly’s security post before he was taken away in an armored  personnel carrier  .

According to reports, other prisoners are giving C hris Brown hell in jail for attacking Rihanna From  Hollywood Life  “One inmate said in passing ‘you a b***h for hitting Rihanna,’” a source close to the situation exclusively reveals to HollywoodLife.com. Chris is doing his best not to listen to the banter, however, it does make him “extremely upset” when he hears such sentiments. “They be saying other stuff too, like ‘you ain’t no rapper, you’re a whack R&B singer,’” the source continues. “They’re in there trying to break him down.”

A  man feigning to be mad was apprehended yesterday along Ring Road in Ibadan town by residents of the area who found human tongue and dangerous weapons on him. Vanguard reports that his evil act was exposed when his hidden blackberry phone suddenly rang in public which aroused suspicion. He was immediately surrounded and searched. They allegedly found the human tongue, a cutlass and axe on him. The mob that gathered had attempted to carry out jungle justice on him but for the timely intervention of the police, who took him away. This incident comes barely four days after the Ibadan house of horror was discovered.

The Senate Yesterday morning confirmed the appointment of Mr Godwin Emefiele as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Emefiele was the Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank before his new appointment. He replaces Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was  suspended by the Federal Government  on February 20th over allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct.

Some  victims  rescued from the  house of horror  in the Soka area of Ibadan in Oyo, who have started gradually regaining their sanity, have recounted how they found themselves at the kidnappers den.  Speaking with a Punch reporter, one of  the victims, Nafiu Shittu, said he was a busy selling his locally made pile medicine when he was kidnapped and brought into the forest 4 months ago. "I am a native of Ibadan, living in the Foko area of the city. I sold pile medicine to people. I was  doing the business  on the day I was kidnapped about four months ago. After going round the area where I had customers, I felt tired and decided to rest in the Gate area. Suddenly, a bus stopped by my side and two men came out and forced me into the back seat of the vehicle. That was all I could remember. When I regained consciousness, I saw myself in a room in the forest, chained to a wall. I was too tired to struggle and as the days passed, I became frail because I was not given any

Oscar nominated actor and BAFTA winner Somali-born Barkhad Abdi was stopped by immigration on returning to the US last month after he traveled to London to accept his BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his first movie role in Captain Philips. The former limo driver was stopped by US customs officials because of his lengthy criminal record which includes drug possession, card fraud and giving police fake name. He was jailed twice for the offences back in 2012. Star Tribune  reports th at  Barkhad now  faces a hearing with Customs and Border protection this week that carries the possibility of deportation.  However, a source told the newspaper said it was unlikely that the 28 year old , who is a permanent legal resident in the U.S, would be deported since customs officials usually only do that in the most serious cases

Members of Boko Haram today struck in a twin suicide attack around the Dalori Housing Estate in Maiduguri Borno State, killing 5 policemen, 3 civilians and wounding several others. The men were said to have rammed the Volkswagen Golf cars they came in into a police patrol van. The bomb they carried detonated, killing them, the police men, 3 people around the area and injuring several others. Immediately after the blast, security operatives cordoned off the area to prevent further attacks.

The Nigerian Immigration Service collected N1,000 application fee from almost 700,000 applicants who participated in the recently disastrous employment test that claimed more than 15 lives. There were reports recently that the federal government had directed the NIS to refund the money but according to new reports, no such directive has been given by the government despite the fact that the recruitment exercise was cancelled. The Public Relations Officer of the NIS and a rep of the Minister of Interior said that they are yet to receive any directive to refund the money. Meanwhile, the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have called on the Federal Government to refund the money to the applicants. They should return it. It's the decent thing to do.

After crying helplessly for nearly 24 hours inside a soak away pit, a day old-baby was over the weekend rescued from a pit in Olomore area of Abeokuta North local government of Ogun state. An eyewitness said that residents of Surulere community in Olomore area of Abeokuta North woke up to a cry of a little baby coming from a soak away toilet behind a church in the area. Residents said they'd  heard the baby crying in the early hours of Saturday morning but could not link the cries to a particular direction.  However, later in the day, around 6pm, the baby’s crying became more pronounced and they traced it to a soak-away pit. There, they found the baby, a boy, who was alive with his placenta uncut. The pit slab cover had collapsed some years ago and had not been replaced. A top Bollywood actor, Nanduri Uday Kiran (29) and Nigerian national Rotimi Olusola Kehinde were today arrested by the East Zone Task Force Policemen in India for allegedly transacting a drug deal in Jubilee Hill in India.  According to India Police , Rotimi came to India on a business visa and developed local contacts in trafficking of narcotics drugs in Bangalore and Hyderabad after procuring drugs from one Hakeem, a Sudanese national residing in Delhi. They were arrested when both men were seen negotiating for the drug which cost  Rs 1,500 per gram and sold for Rs 3,000 per gram, depending on the clients needs. 15grams of hard drugs were found on both men when the were arrested. Uday Kiran acted in films like 'Parare', 'Rakshakulu', 'Yuvarajyam' and 'Facebook'.

Radio  legend and culture critic Troi Torain popularly known as Star who became famous for being outrageous on NYC radio, has revealed Jay Z's  real age . According to him, Jay Z is his age mate, and Star is almost 50. He made the revelation while speaking with a caller on his live radio show recently I shouldn't blow this up, maybe because he doesn't promote it publicly, but Jay Z and I are the same exact age.
