The police in Ekiti State have arrested a 57-year-old Vice-Principal of St. Mary Girls College, Ikole Ekiti, Mr. Ayo Ajayi, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old pupil of the school inside his office. Punch  reports that the pupil had gone to the office of the vice-principal on March 18 and she did not come out as quickly as expected. This was said to have fueled the suspicion of some teachers. One of the teachers, who reported the case to the police, was said to have moved closer to the door to open it but discovered that the door had been locked from inside.

A helicopter bearing the markings of Aero Contractors which mistakenly landed at Governor’s lodge of Enugu Government House yesterday at around 10.30am has been seized. The pilot and the crew members of the helicopter were also detained at the government lodge for alleged security breach. The crew members upon interrogation said the helicopter mistook the Government House for the State House of Assembly complex from where they were meant to convey the corpse of a deceased member of old Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Andrew Umeoji. The Police Special Fraud Unit, SFU, has arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly operating an internet fraud syndicate that specializes in defrauding unsuspecting wealthy foreign women who are in dire need of husbands. Henry Ogu, and his accomplice, Yunusa Okonkwo, 42, were arrested after defrauding a New Jersey lady of US$350,000 (about N56 million) via an internet dating site. In a statement on Wednesday, the SFU said that it received an e-mailed petition from a U.S. citizen, whom it did not name, sometime in April 2013. The petitioner alleged that she met Mr. Ogu on a dating site.

A 28-year-old medical school student who is auctioning off her virginity on the internet for money has received bids as high as $550,000 ever since she launched it online on the 31 st  of March, 2014.  The student who uses the alias Elizabeth Raine also had to reveal her face few days after the launch in an effort to attract more hefty offers.

33 year old Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi (pictured above) yesterday Tuesday April 29th pleaded guilty to terror charges in a US court. The Nigerian citizen is accused of  providing material support to an al Qaeda affiliate, and participating in its media and recruitment campaigns, Reuters reports. US prosecutors said that, from January 2010 to August 2011, Babafemi left Nigeria to Yemen twice to meet with some leaders of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, known as AQAP. "The defendant traveled to  Yemen  to put himself at the disposal of a violent terrorist organization that has repeatedly demonstrated its determination to inflict bodily and economic harm on the US and its citizens," A U.S. Attorney said in a statement. 14 year old Endia Martin (pictured above) was killed on Monday April 28th by another 14 year old girl after they argued on Facebook about a boy. Is this what 14 year olds should be doing? Creative Directors of D&G, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been found guilty of tax evasion to the tune of $1.3bn. The verdict was announced this afternoon after hours of consideration by a three-judge panel who decided to uphold last June's guilty verdict that saw the designers both sentenced to 20-months in prison for allegedly committing tax evasion, Vogue UK reports. The alleged crime is said to have been a result of the sale of their Dolce & Gabbana and D&G brands to the Luxembourg-based holding company Gado Srl in 2004. The study also rated Nigeria as one of the top three countries whose bank customers use social media when making decisions on selecting a financial service provider. A Nigerian  doctor  is getting some time in the US for the illegal distribution of painkillers. Apparently it's the same doctor who was convicted of  molestation 2 years ago and suspended from the Physicians A ssociation in Indiana.  Wishtv.com   reports An Indianapolis doctor has pleaded guilty to illegally distributing painkillers. According to the Marion County Prosecutor’s office, Dr. Segun Rasaki pleaded guilty Wednesday to two felony dealing charges.  Officials say the doctor was writing prescriptions to multiple patients, even after his right to do so had been suspended. In 2012, Dr. Rasaki was convicted of sexual battery and battery against two patients.  The doctor received a one year sentence for that conviction. Rasaki is scheduled to be sentenced on May 27.

File photo  A new born baby abandoned by her mother was recently discovered in a swampy dump-site around Great Aduke School, Victory Estate in Iba area of Lagos. However, the baby finally died after being rejected by two public hospitals. Vanguard gathered that the baby girl was discovered inside a carton by a young man (names withheld) who had gone to inspect his building site in the estate. According to him:  “on getting to my site, I started hearing an unusual sound. I kept moving towards the direction of the sound. As I moved closer, I discovered a baby inside a carton soaked in blood, still attached to the placenta. Immediately I saw the baby I raised alarm and people gathered.  A woman among the crowd carried the baby to her house to clean up while I reported my finding at the police station.”

Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) after staying at home for ten months, decided to stage a protest today at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja. Their protest however was disrupted when the lecturers and students who gathered in front of the Secretariat, were dispersed by gun-wielding policemen who later fired teargas at them for defying their instruction not to move beyond the premises of the Federal Secretariat. The Minister of Labour, Mr Emeka Wogu, who addressed the lecturers before they were dispersed, promised to address the issues raised by them and said there would be an end to the on-going strike. The APC chieftain, Bashorun Bayo Awosanya, who battered his wife at their residence in Sagamu on Easter Sunday April 20th (read  here ) after an argument was arrested yesterday April 28th by the Ogun State police command. "The suspect personally reported himself to the Sagamu Divisional Police Officer, CSP Lawal Adebowale, around 0800hrs due to arrest warrants issued and pressure mounted on him to show up before he would be publicly declared wanted by the police" the PPRO of the Ogun State Command in a statement. He was later transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation for further questioning. Ogun State police say they plan to charge him to court. Donald Sterling, the L.A Clippers owner who was caught on tape making disgusting racist comments to his girlfriend (read  here ) has been banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million, which is the max fine that can be imposed under NBA rules. Under the ban, the 81 year old can't go to games, attend practices, make decisions regarding the team or attend NBA meetings. Basketball Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement this evening Tuesday April 29th, saying the National Basketball Association will force Sterling to sell the team, which he has owned since the 80's, to another organization. Silver said Sterling admitted making those comments but showed no remorse. The commissioner said 'Sentiments of this kind are contrary to the principles of inclusion & respect that form the foundation of our diverse, multicultural and multi-ethnic league." Good move!!!

According to multiple sources, one of the most eligible bachelors in the world, Prince Harry, 29, is back in the market after splitting from girlfriend of almost two years, Cressida Bonas, 25. Ann Maguire, 61, is the first teacher to be killed in the classroom of a British school. She was stabbed in the neck in front of p upils at the Corpus Christie Catholic College school in Leeds. BBC reports that the Spanish teacher was taken to the hospital following the attack but was later pronounced dead. A 15-year-old boy was later arrested for her murder and is in custody. Minister of Petroleum, Dieziani Alison-Madueke, who has been in the middle of a 10bn jet scandal has secured a court injunction stopping the House of Representatives from further investigating her, Premium Times reports. Alison-Madueke had approached a federal high court in Abuja where she asked the court to restrain the House members to discontinue any probe involving her. Justice . R. Mohammed who presided over the case, barred the house members or their committees  from summoning her for any further investigations or even ordering her arrest if she failed to appear before the house. According to reports, the court injuction was secured on April 14th but was only made public today as the House intended to commence further investigation on the matter today.

Anthony Wayas (pictured left) a resident of Finima community in Bonny LGA of Rivers State has been accused by his 12 year old niece of having sex with her since 2013, Tribune reports.   Anthony, who is the brother to the girl's father took responsibility for her after her father passed away when she was just a year old. By the time she turned 12, he started having sex with her.   His evil act came to light on Monday April 21 after the girl told her neighbour what her uncle was doing to her. The neighbour then told another neighbor who told the youth leader in the community and Anthony was accosted in his home where he was badly beaten and had to be rescued by the police. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor named  Daryell Dickson Meneses Xavier was reportedly beaten and raped by 20 men after he was locked up for allegedly killing and possibly raping his girlfriend's 1year 11 months old son (pictured with him left) in  Taguatinga, suburb of Brasilia, Brazil in Sept 2013. A ccording to local media, trouble started for the man after his girlfriend left him alone with her son. A few hours later, he called his girlfriend claiming the boy fell and was having seizures. The child was rushed to the hospital and died two days later. Doctors who didn't believe the boy fell called the police and told them they suspected foul play because the injuries on the boy wasn't consistent with a fall but with blunt trauma, and also said  possible sexual abuse was involved. Nigerian women would on  Wednesday April 30th  in Abuja stage a one-million-women march tagged "Free our girls" to press for the release of the schoolgirls that were abducted from Girls Government college in Chibok, Borno state on Monday April 14th.   The call for the protest was made during an emergency meeting put together by the Borno state first lady, Hajia Nana Kashim Shettima, yesterday. Coordinator of the protest Prof. Hauwa Abdu Biu said the march is expected to involve every woman in the country. "The last time, we were in black but this time around the colour for the Abuja rally is red; so we should all be prepared and mobilize ourselves for the rally”, she said

18-year-old Ana Rosa Mora (pictured above) has been arrested for killing her own child because the the new born looked like her ex-boyfriend. Ana wrapped her baby in a bag and left him outside to die because she feared the child looked like her ex-boyfriend and her current boyfriend would leave her. The Chicago Tribune reports that the teen gave birth last weekend and attended school on Monday after allegedly committing the act and even showed staff members pictures of a newborn girl that she claimed she downloaded from the Internet. According to  DailyMail , this 36 year old Chinese man pictured above, kidnapped his pregnant 21-year-old girlfriend, tied  a gas  tank to her back and ignited it when police turned up to try and rescue her. But he is right now fighting for his life alongside his girlfriend in a Chinese hospital after he too was caught up in the blast. Surgeons are battling to save their lives but, despite the mother-to-be's horrific injuries, her unborn baby managed to survive. 21 year old Xu Fan fell pregnant by mistake after a one-night-stand with Li Moulian, but the pair decided to stay together and moved into to a house in Mazhuang  New Village . Namadi Sambo today lost his immediate  younger brother  Capt Sabo Sambo in a horrible  car accident  on Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja.   Captain Sabo was reportedly on his way to the airport to catch a flight when he crashed into a tree and his  car went up in flames. According to eyewitnesses, Capt Sabo got trapped in his car after the collision with the tree. When the car burst into flames, he desperately tried, struggled to get out but could not. Residents of Olufowobi Street, Ketu, Lagos, were thrown into confusion after an eight-year-old girl, Amarachi Abakwam, was found tied up and brutalised under the bed of a policeman attached to Police  Mobile Force  22. PUNCH Metro  reports that the policeman, Augustine Gbuchenge, with Force number 400823, lived in the same compound with Amarachi’s family. The father of the victim, Patrick, told PUNCH Metro that on the fateful day he had been looking everywhere for his daughter until they discovered her under Gbuchenge’s bed. Patrick said: “Last Thursday, I returned from work around 7.30pm and met my children and wife outside. There was  power failure  on that day so everywhere was dark. I asked after Amarachi but my wife said she was probably in our apartment sleeping.

What won’t we see or hear in this Lagos.  A woman this morning in one of the heavy government gutters which are permanently sealed around Albati Barracks, Ojuelegba screamed for help from deep inside the gutter and people wondered how she got there. A passer-by who heard her scream, tried to help her, but he couldn’t because there was no way he could get into the gutter to help her out.
