Photo: Medical doctor burnt to death inside his hospital in Ondo


A fire outbreak at the Universal Medical Clinic (Specialist Children Clin­ic) in Oke Ibukun Street, off Araromi area in Akure, the Ondo state capital has sadly claimed the life of its owner, Dr David Ade­tayo Oguntuase who was burnt beyond recognition yesterday December 25th.
According to reports, the fire started at about 12midnight and caught the Doctor unawares inside his office. One of the nurses who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the doctor came in yesterday morning and asked them to take the day off so they could spend some time with their family and instructed them to lock all the doors and windows of the hospital before they leave...
Some hours later, the hospital was on fire, and Dr Oguntuase was burnt to death. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. According to a nurse, no patient was in the hospital during the inferno as they had all been discharged  due to the Christmas celebration

Pastor turned singer Queen Ure Okezie (who came into prominence with her relationship with singer Soul E), took Northside First Lady, Cynthia Morgan to court in Dec. 2014 for allegedly infringing on her copyright with the song, ‘Popori’. Queen Ure claims 'Popori', which is the title of her album and a song, is her copyright. She claims she had the sound recording registered at the Nigerian Copyright Commission and a copyright certificate was issued to her in 2013. Fast forward to November 2014, and Cynthia Morgan released a song titled 'Porpori'. Queen Ure went to court and managed to get a court order to stop Cynthia Morgan from using the word 'Popori' as a title to her single. Cynthia just came for Queen Ure on her instagram page.
